Chile's National Congress Library, University of Chile Law School and the Iberoamerican Federation of Asociations of Law and Informatics (FIADI), pleased to invite the national and international community to attend the "X IBEROAMERICAN CONGRESS OF LAW AND INFORMATICS 2004", in September 6 to 9 2004 in the city of Santiago, Chile.

This event looks for to strength the brotherly cooperation ties between the members of the academic community interested in the subjects that summon them, the new technologies law and cyber law, as much as happens with the public and private Iberoamerican institutions.

Following the tradition of the Congresses of Santo Domingo (1984), Guatemala City (1989), Mérida, Spain(1992), Bariloche (1994), La Habana (1996), Montevideo (1998), Mexico City (2000) and San José de Costa Rica (2002), once again we invite to all the civil employees, investigators, consultants and academics, as well as the official representatives of governments, universities, companies, international organisms, cooperation agencies, students and other interested persons, to participate in this new event.

The X Congress in Chile will be the opportunity to gather the lessons, experiences, legislation, judicial and administrative jurisprudence, doctrinaire development, etc. that arises from the dramatic changes that we verify at the moment and that will be part of the immediate future, concerning to the interrelation between Law and Informatics.

It is our wish that this Congress can be an occasion for strengthing the ties that keep together this Iberoamerican legal community, the one we hope to welcome.
